Modern Calligraphy
Calligraphy can be categorized into two groups: Traditional or Contemporary. There is overlap, but lets stick to basics. The contemporary approach or “Modern Calligraphy” emphasizes a more expressive, individualistic look. Style is many might say, or writing that is reflective of our times. It may have some reference to the historical forms, but it be more of today is a definite goal. Free and loose or rugged or graphically powerful and definitely less old fashioned
