Calligraphy Hand Lettering Artist
have animated letters for thousands of years. If you think about it, we rely visually on images (photos, videos, or illustration) and words. Words… made of letters. We have always been interested in making them beautiful, or fun, or emotionally expressive. All letters started out as written or "hand made." Typefaces (fonts) derive their shape from Calligraphy, over the centuries as we evolved their beauty and ultimately, their shapes. I was somehow attracted to the shape of letters as a kid (like many children are) and still, after decades of creating with them, have not exhausted their potential, making a career out of making letters by hand. This may include writing with various pens or brushes, or designing them, applying and honing craft skills, creative exploration, and artistic expression. The best part? There is always more to see, always more to learn. Let's work on something together.
